How to Use the Calculator
This calculator is designed to help investors understand potential returns from dividends as well as profits from buying and selling stocks.
- Calculating Dividend Returns:
- Enter the Quarterly Dividend: Input the amount of money received per share each quarter.
- Enter the Number of Shares: Input how many shares you own.
- Calculate Dividend: Click the “Calculate Dividend” button to see both the quarterly and annual dividend returns based on the current dividend rate and number of shares.
- Calculating Profit from Buying and Selling:
- Enter the Buy Price: Input the price per share when you purchased the stock.
- Enter the Sell Price: Input the price per share at which you plan to sell or have sold the stock.
- Add Shares (optional): Use the “Add Shares” button if you wish to increase the number of shares for this transaction.
- Calculate Profit: Click the “Calculate Profit” button to see the profit per share based on the buy and sell prices.
- Results Display:
- The results from your dividend calculations and profit calculations will be displayed under the “Results” heading. This provides a clear and organized reference to the potential financial outcomes based on your inputs.
